1.      Computer is electronic machine operating under the control of intruction stored in it's own memory:

·         accepts data

·         manipulates data

·         producer results

·         stores results

2.      The components of a computer:

·         CPU

·         Memory

·         Input (keyboard, mouse, dll)/output (printer, monitor, speaker, dll)

3.      For  make your computer powerfull:

·         Storage

·         Reability

·         Speed

·         Accuracy

·         Comunication

4.      Software computer is a collection of commands executed by the engine computer in the work. Without the software, the computer is just a blank machine that will not mean anything. Computers do not understand human language and understands only machine language generated from the software

5.      Hardware is a physical aspect that can be seen and touched. A computer unit made ​​up of several major components, namely the CPU (central processing unit), memory, data storage devices (disk, CD), input and output device (monitor, mouse, printer), and a communication device (modem).

6.      Brainware is user. User interface is for comunications.

7.      Network is collection of computer and divise. The purpuse of network is to save time and money.

  LAN => MAN => WAN => INTERNET

8.      Catagories of computer:

·         Microcomputer is a computer that can perform all of it’s input, process, output, and storage activities by it self

·         Minicomputer is often used in situations where a microcomputer is not powerfull enough but a mainframe is too expensive

·         Mainframe is  a large, expensive, but powerfull computer that can handle hundreds or thousands of conected user at the same time

·         Supercomputer is the fastest, most powerfull, and most expensive computer used for application that require complex and sophisticated mathematical calculations

9.      Computer programe is a series of intructions that tells become the computer what to do.

10.   System unit is box like device connect to componens on the mother boards (CPU, memory)

11.  The process of information inside the computer :

Input => process => output => storage => comunication

12.  Personal computer is is a general-purpose computer, whose size, capabilities, and original sale price makes it useful for individuals, and which is intended to be operated directly by an end-user with no intervening computer operator. Early PC owners usually had to write their own programs to do anything useful with the machines, even lacking an operating system.
